Boyer Park to receive campground upgrades

The Port of Whitman County commissioners Thursday discussed where the Boyer Marina project stands to date.

The project is expected to add 13 new RV sites to the campgrounds as well as four cabins.

There are already 32 full RV hookup sites, 16 partial RV hookups and seven tent sites. The cabins will be a new addition, one that Port Commissioner Dan Boone said will boost the area.

"With those cabins, it will become more of a destination type location," said Boone.

The cabins will have electricity and heat, but no plumbing, said Port Executive Director Joe Poiré.
