Construction zone crash

A flagger had cars stopped southbound between Colfax and Pullman. Construction crews have been working on a seven mile stretch of Highway 195 since mid-May.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a rear-end accident last Thursday in the construction zone for roadway grinding and paving which is now underway on Highway 195 between Pullman and Colfax.

According to the report Benjamin B. Allen, Issaquah, was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla northbound in the construction zone and slowed down. The Corolla was struck in the rear by a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Tara Powers of Spokane...
