Thorn Creek

to play Empire

Tekoa Empire Theatre Sunday, June 14, at 2:30 p.m. will present a performance of the Thorn Creek Express. This four-man Bluegrass band based out of Genesee, Idaho, is comprised of Lucas, Tyler, Austin and Carson Sass, also known locally as the "Sass Brothers", who got their start as children playing with the Old Time Fiddlers in the Lewis-Clark Valley.

They play a wide variety of music including bluegrass standards, classic country, as well as some classic rock tunes and more recently, original music.

All four brothers take turns singing lead and backup vocals and enjoy the tight harmonies that are only possible among family. They also have taken lessons from their mentor Michael ‘Doc’ Rosgen in Moscow, Idaho, to whom they credit much of their success.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for teens, and will be for sale at the door. Refreshments will be served at an intermission and a “meet the band time” is available following the performance.
