Two earn Eagle Scout award

Eagle Scout awards were presented to Nicholas McAdams, right, and Daniel Thomas at a Colfax Scout Troop 595 special Eagle court of honor on June 7 at the United Methodist Church.

McAdams is the son of Shawn and Sabrina McAdams, and Thomas is the son of John and Karen Thomas, all of Colfax.

For his Eagle project McAdams coordinated installation of benches next to a fire pit at Schmuck Park.

The fire pit was installed at the park as the result of another Eagle Scout project completed several years ago by Morgan Watson.

Thomas headed a project for a rebuild of dog cages at the Colfax City Pound under the supervision of former Colfax Police Chief Bill Hickman.

Adams will be a senior at Colfax High School next fall, and Thomas graduated with the Pullman 2015 class on June 6.
