Artist finishes horse mural in LaCrosse

Sara Yates' mural appears on the side of a building owned by John Ellis of LaCrosse.

LaCrosse artist Sara Yates finished a horse team mural she had been painting on the corner of Main Street.

The mural, which depicts teamsters driving a team of 12 horses through the wheat fields of the Palouse, sits on the corner of Main and 2nd Street, adjacent to Umpqua Bank and the grocery store.

Yates finished the mural Friday – just in time for the Farmer's Festival on Saturday. She was honored with a ride through the parade Saturday morning.
