Dahmen "Awash In Color" exhibit opens

This painting by John Kirkland titled “Uniontown Flea Market” will be among those on display in the “Awash in Color” exhibit at the Dahmen barn in Uniontown during July. A meet the artist and opening reception will be Sunday, July 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. Kirkland and his wife Sue moved to the Asotin area from Bountiful, Utah, where he had operated a sign shop for 20 years, after retiring in 2004. An illustrator by nature, Kirkland likes art work showing people doing something or telling a story of some kind. He is also quick to incorporate signs into a composition whenever possible....
