Tekoa duo finishes early

Tekoa’s cross-state bike riders, Fred Wagner and Tristan Smith, finished approximately three hours ahead of schedule when they arrived under the Tekoa trestle Friday at about 3:20 p.m. and were greeted by a group of supporters. The celebration included a stop at the coffee shop where they were given a farewell the previous Saturday. The duo gained time by extending their Thursday ride with the stint along part of Rock Lake. Martin estimated the length of the ride, which started at North Bend last Sunday morning, was between 270 and 300 miles. (See photo on Slippery Gulch page 2B)
