The Shop is a new business which is loclated in the former HUB insurance office in Rosalia next to Pat's Books. Proprietor Melissa Witte has moved her baby grand piano into the shop.
The show is slated for 3 p.m., and seating is limited. Cost is by donation.
Nilsen founded the Magic Wing recording label in 1987 and has produced 19 albums. He has performed in all 50 states and completed a nine-day tour of the United Kingdom in 2013.
Rosalia resident Diane Nebel said one of Nilsen’s goals now is to perform in small towns.
“His whole goal is to perform in every small town church that he can in the state,” she said. Nebel noted Nilsen's father was a Methodist minister, and he primarily performs in Methodist churches.
Jim Nebel said he is looking forward to the performance.
“He’s just excellent,” he said. "His piano music is just excellent.”
The Nebels noted that Nilsen will perform on the new grand piano at “The Shop”.
“This piano sounds phenomenal,” Nebel said. “I think there's a good chance you could easily get 30 people there.”
