Dana Cooper set at Dahmen

Dana Cooper, touring the northwest from Nashville, will perform Americana folk music at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown Friday, July 24, at 7 pm. This is the fifth concert in the barn’s summer concert series. Doors open in the new addition at 6:15. Admission is $15 with tickets sold only at the door.

Cooper dedicated himself to a life of music more than 40 years ago. He has performed on Austin City Limits, Mountain Stage and the Kerrville Folk Festival where he was nominated for their Hall of Fame.

Colfax High School class of 1965 had its reunion in the ballroom. The kitchen staff prepared a buffet. The class of 1956 will celebrate their reunion here in September.

Hill Ray residents have logged luncheon trips to South Fork and Banyans in Pullman. Locally they have dined at Eddys, Sol Vallarta and Events on Main.

Holidays always call for special times. Cinco de Mayo called for a Mexican menu and piñata full of candy. Residents and guests enjoyed a special turkey dinner for Mother's Day.

Father's Day was a barbecue with Steve Holberg and Gary Young working the grill. Smoke, checkered table cloths and great food made a special meal for all.

Kriebel, Scout Aubrey, was born July 15 at eight pounds, 11.5 ounces, to Ryan Kriebel and Ashley Stewart of Garfield. Paternal grandparents are Dawn and Larry Hunt and Ron Kriebel of Garfield. Maternal grandparents are Tracy and Lamar Stewart of Palouse.

Pierce, Marshall Justice, was born July 18 at eight pounds, seven ounces, to John and Stephanie S. Pierce of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Emmett and Carol Pierce of Addy, Wash. Maternal grandparents are Sherry Dubberly of Pullman and the late Wallace Dubberly. The baby joins sisters Liberty, 13, and brothers Canyon, 10, and Tarver, 3.

AT WHITMAN HOSPITAL & MEDICAL CENTER

Hartshorn, Samson Lee, was born July 16 at six pounds, 12 ounces, to Gabriel Hartshorn and Deidra Starrett. Maternal grandparents are William and Daphne Starrett. Paternal grandparents are Tim and Sheri Hartshorn. The baby joins siblings William and Olivia.
