David Moore, oldest son of Steve and Carol Moore, graduated from basic training for the Navy July 17 in Chicago. Steve and Carol were able to attend the graduation ceremony. David is now in Pensacola, Fla., for additional training.

David and Phyllis Stueckle spent last Wednesday to Saturday at a resort near Lynden with David's brother and sister-in-law, Reuben and Judy Stueckle of Puyallup.

Saturday evening, Brian and Angela Broeckel and Graham hosted a dinner to celebrate Oscar Broeckel’s 93rd birthday. Besides the honoree, other guests included Tom and Doreen Riedner, Dusty; Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma and Karen Broeckel, Dusty.
