Airport project includes wetland along S. Palouse

The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport Runway Realignment Project is set to begin soon, with the initial construction phase to include the construction of the required off-site wetland/stream mitigation site.

The selected site stretches 113.6 acres and is located along the banks of the South Fork of the Palouse River, about two and one half miles southeast of the Colfax City limits.

The selected location was chosen off-site from the airport because wetlands attract wildlife that can be hazardous for airport operations.
