Avista, Palouse Wind install energy kiosk

An informational kiosk on wind generation has been installed at the Horn School Rest Area. Palouse Wind LLC and Avista partnered on developing the informational kiosk which was recently installed at the rest area across Highway 195 from the 58-unit wind site.

While viewing the kiosk, visitors can see the turbines which are as tall as a 38-story building and blades the length of 10 cars parked bumper to bumper.

Avista and Palouse Wind representatives joined officials from Whitman County, Rosalia, Oakesdale, Colfax and Port of Whitman to participate in an unveiling ceremony last Thursday. Repres...
