Meetings for public comment have been scheduled today, Thursday, by the Palouse Regional Transportaton Planning Organization and public transportation provideer in Asotin, Columbia, Garfield and Whitman Counties. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the development of a plan for federal and state specialized transportatoin funding which is administered through the state DOT.
The goal of the meetings is to help set funding priorities and select alternaitives to improve specialized transportation services.
Meetings have been set for Thursday, Aug. 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Umpqua Bank conference room on N. Main in Colfax, and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pullman Umpqua Bank conference room, 225 N. Grand Ave.
Another session will be Friday, Aug. 14, at the Dayton Memorial Library, 111 S. 3rd Street, Dayton.
