Services set for this weekend

Dusty

Services for former long-time Dusty residents will be held this weekend. Clare Steiger died earlier this summer. Her graveside services will be Sunday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery. A reception will follow at Hill Ray Plaza.

Irma Stueckle died last Friday. Her services will be this Friday, Aug. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Baptist church in Colfax with burial afterward in the Colfax Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the church following the burial.

Lucky, Joan and Rob Myrick attended the Eatonville Art Festival this past weekend. Lucky and Joan had their jewelry booth at the festival. While there, they visited with another son, Mike Myrick and Rhonda and other friends from the area.

Visitors at the home of Kim and Cindy Pitts this weekend were children and grandchildren Carrie Pitts of Yakima and Amanda, Eric, Rafe and Tate Carlson of Spokane.

Tom Riedner gave a presentation on Homestead Ministries at Country Bible Church Sunday morning. Riedner and Greg Nolan secure and organize the packaging and distribution of bean, pea and lentil soup mixes throughout the Pacific Northwest to people in need.

The program is oriented toward spreading the gospel and is non-denominational. Tom and his wife Doreen have recently moved into the Dusty area from Genesee, Idaho.
