Perkins House could go dormant

The Perkins House, built by Colfax co-founder James Perkins in 1886, has been maintained for several years by the Whitman County Historical Society. The society is in great need of volunteers in order to continue to operate the Perkins House and keep it open.

The 43rd annual Perkins House Ice Cream Social almost didn't happen this summer. It wouldn't have happened had it not been for former Pullman resident Ken Vogel, who now resides with his wife and family in western Washington.
