Red sun sets during dust storm

The sun took on a red glow Friday evening with the light filtered by smoke and dust at sunset. The strong winds which hit the area whipped up flames in fires around the Inland Northwest and took a heavy toll. The Harvard area of Idaho and the Clearwater Valley sustained heavy damage. This photo was taken with the top of the Jones School at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds in the foreground. Cloud cover masked the sun a few minutes after this picture was taken....
