Endicott hosts silent auction, prayer vigil

The three Endicott church congregations came together Saturday to show their support for those affected by wildfires across the Northwest.

Pastor Fred Tribble of the Endicott Bible Church, Pastor Ole Olson of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Pastor Phil Misner of Trinity Lutheran Church led a silent auction and prayer vigil.

“We held a prayer vigil where we prayed for each of the fires in Washington, Oregon and Idaho burning by name,” Misner said.

The congregations united in prayer and also came together to raise funds for those affected by the disastrous fires.

A silent auction with approximately 10 items raised more than $200, Misner said. Donations also poured in at the event, as well as after. In all, the community was able to raise $917, which was donated to the fire relief fund at Kamiah Credit Union. The bank has a dollar-for-dollar match pledge, meaning the money Endicott residents raised will translate to approximately $2,000.
