Endicott selects heroes

Endicott

Endicott Library had a contest to determine who the heroes of Endicott are. A form was circulated to the community to name who were thought to be heroes. After this information was sent in, the library circulated a list of prospective heroes. The results are as follows: School Hero: Suzanne Schmick; Business Hero: Jenny Meyer; Volunteer Hero: Tony Anderson; Kindness Hero: Leslie Starrett; New Hero: Dave Bilow; Junior Hero: Aja Schmick; All Around Hero: Tony Anderson.

Visiting Virgil and Betty Jordan from Etibicoke, Ont., Canada, were daughter Amy Warren and her family; John, Shannon and baby Andrew Hanson; from Regina, Sask., Canada, Jordan and Brittany Lougheed .; from Mich., daughter Sherry Dunham, her son Lyle and grandson Sean; from Walla Walla, daughter Teri Hurley, her family, son Jesse Maxwell, his family, Madeline, Kaleb and Natalie; from Colo., daughter Heather and Clark Pope and their daughters, Alethea and Zoe; daughter Kelly and Jeff Moys and from Vancouver their daughter Melissa Lowry and her family, Rylie, Hudsen and Porter.

Endicott Gun Club junior member Connor Pelissier attended the Grand American trap shoot in Sparta, Ill., and shot in seven events. The highlight was The Champion of Champions event where he ended 11th in the nation for the Junior category and ended up in a shoot-off which landed him third place in the nation for his handicap yardage. Connor represented Endicott Gun Club and Washington State Trap Association very well.
