Library now offers

low vision readers

Whitman County Library now has two low vision readers available for long term use by residents living within the library district. For more information, contact Library Director Kristie Kirkpatrick at Colfax. The readers were purchased with donations from local residents.

Colfax alumni lunch

The Colfax alumni lunch Aug. 11 was held as a memorial for Marge Hill Krueger. She had attended the lunch events faithfully, missing only one over the last four years. A total of 36 people were present for the gathering.

Howes, Jedidiah Robert, born Aug. 20 at six pounds, six ounces, to Danica West and Nathaniel Howes, Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Sam and Leilani Howes, Mukilteo, Wash. Maternal grandparents are Ray Martinez, Seattle, and Sarah Mountfield, Seattle.

Walker, Rian Harper, born Aug. 22 at eight pounds, 10 ounces, to Jennifer Ayres and Nicholas Walker, Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Sam Walker and Donna Miller, Riggins, Idaho. Maternal grandparents are Susan and Michael Ayres, Lewiston. Joins sisters Marley, 6, Anberlin, 2, and brother Devin, 1.
