County commissioners grant easement to Avista Utilities

County commissioners Monday voted unanimously to approve a right-of-way easement agreement with Avista Utilities.

The easement will allow Avista to install a new electric line underground that will serve a new building which will be built by Palouse River Rock near Wilbur-Ellis in the northwest corner of Colfax. The timeline of when the building will be built is not known at this time, but the electric line is expected to be installed soon.

Commissioner Art Swannack said the easement grants Avista the ability to proceed.
