Farmington mayor disbands planning-zoning committee

New Farmington Mayor Dave Baker has disbanded the town’s planning and zoning committee after its formation last year.

Previous mayor James Woomack appointed the committee after a matter came up regarding a portable house in town and how to interpret the street right-of-way.

Baker took over as mayor July 20 after Woomack resigned due to family obligations to attend to in Kansas.

Near the same time, two people resigned from the planning and zoning commission. Brian Oliver resigned because he joined the city council, and Steve Martin moved out of town.
