Montana entry tops 33rd Palouse Show & Shine

Jerry and Char Appel of Lakeside, Mont., won the best of show trophy at the 33rd annual Palouse Show & Shine Saturday with this 1952 Stan Craft torpedo stern boat and period motor home (below). The boat was constructed in 1952 for use at Yellowstone Lake. It was resurrected by the Appels four years ago. The show in the Palouse park attracted 238 entries. The top trophy was presented at the end of the awards ceremony.
