Colton boys run Dayton 60-16

Senior quarterback Carter Dahmen picks up a few more yards for Colton Sept. 18 at home. The team plays again at home today vs. Sunnyside Christian at 3:30 p.m.

“Time out! Time out!” yelled Dayton football coach Tony Henderson.

He walked out onto the grass in the second quarter of a game last Friday at Colton.

“Count for me how many players we have on the field,” he continued, to his team. “You're killing me.”

It was that kind of afternoon for the Bulldogs as Colton led by eight touchdowns at halftime in a 60-16 win.

Wildcats' quarterback Carter Dahmen threw for 350 yards and seven touchdowns on 12 of 19 passing. Brady Chadwick caught six for 197 yards and four touchdowns while Grant Kinzer had 122 yards on four receptions, all touchdowns. One was a pass from Chadwick, for a 48-yard score on a trick play in the first quarter.

Chadwick also led the Colton defense in the game.

Dayton did not score until the fourth quarter.

Colton (2-1) will play next at home today vs. Sunnyside Christian at 3:30 p.m.
