The St. John-Endicott Eagles went north to Wellpinit last Friday and the results got better as they game went on.
In the process, they trailed 44-0 at the end of the third quarter, in a 44-16 loss .
“Believe it or not, we are definitely making progress,” said Eagles coach Ken Gering. “We took the last three quarters in statistics.”
In the first quarter, Wellpinit ran for 138 yards to the Eagles' zero.
In the second, St. John-Endicott put up 70 yards rushing while their opponents had 61.
