Jury acquits rape suspect

A superior court jury Sept. 30 found Ruddy Aladina, 25, Pullman, not guilty of a charge of second degree rape. The jury was also unable to reach a verdict on a lesser charge of third degree rape. The jury verdict came after a three-day trial.

The charge was filed after Pullman Police received a report from a 21-year-old Pullman woman who alleged Aladina had forced her to have sex. The report said the alleged victim met Aladina on the dance floor at Mike's, which is located in Adams Mall on College Hill in Pullman, Dec. 13, 2014.
