Endorses Roberts
It is not too soon to think about the election for Mayor of Colfax. Jeremiah Roberts wants to be the person to lead the City. He knows about budgets and how important they are to the stability of Colfax. He plans to have the Council well informed about any and all issues that will come before them so they can make good decisions. Jeremiah values the employees since he knows they are the heart and soul of the City and will always listen to their input. He also knows how important the water, sewer and streets are to the citizens and how they need to be in the best possible condition. He wants do what is best for this community... Let’s vote for Jeremiah Roberts for Mayor of Colfax

For the first time in years, possibly ever, the citizens of Palouse had a primary election for the mayor! Now we can vote between the remaining two candidates. It is more important than ever to make an informed vote.
Challenger Connie Newman requested that incumbent Michael Echanove meet for a public debate, with rebuttal times. The Pullman League of Women Voters offered to host a public candidate forum. It appears that many citizens would appreciate these opportunities to once again ask the candidates questions, and hopefully get very solid answers to their concerns. At the prior forum, not all questions were fully answered by all candidates.
It is very disappointing that Michael Echanove not only refused the debate offered, but also declined the League’s candidate forum.
As citizens, how are we to make an informed vote if we don’t have a chance to hear both candidates platforms, ideas and desires to make Palouse a better community? Out of respect for the citizens of Palouse, I request that Mr. Echanove agree to some form of candidate question/answer session soon so we have time to make an informed decision and vote accordingly.
We need to hear from both candidates equally to make an informed decision.

Endorses Newman
I am writing in support of Connie Newman for Palouse Mayor.
I believe her vision and creativity are essential elements for moving Palouse in the right direction.
Connie’s background and track record reflect she really loves our little town.
I really appreciate her willingness to have a local government that will be transparent in what they do, how they spend our tax dollars as well as the direction they want to move our community.
I believe change is important for growth and prosperity.
Many small towns become stagnant and wither away without change.
I think Connie is the perfect person for the job!!! Five generations of her family caring for and living in Palouse should really speak volumes to voters – she isn’t going anywhere soon.
Connie will bring stability and an open ear and mind for the people of Palouse.
