Serving Whitman County since 1877
The Tekoa/Rosalia Timberwolves will face the longest road trip of the year for a county club when they travel to Darrington.
They plan to depart early Friday morning for the trip across Stevens Pass then north to Darrington. Coach Scott Eaton noted the trip has been charted at 7.5 hours for a car, so the bus time, plus breaks, could figure to be about nine hours.
The team will bunk in the Darrington gym Friday night after the game.
Darrington this year has dropped down to eight-man ball and are reported to be in a building year this season. Tekoa/Rosalia will make the trip on a 1-3 record.
They sustained a 40-point loss last Friday on trip to Elgin, Ore.
One more road trip, to Wallace, Idaho, next week and a home finale against Kootenai of Harrison remain on the schedule.
