Direct Seed breakfast slated Oct. 28

The first Colfax Palouse Direct Seed Breakfast will be Oct. 28 at 7 a.m. at the Colfax Methodist Church meeting room at 109 S. Mill Street.

Steve Starr of the Pacific Coast Canola Processing Plant at Warden will report on the recent change of ownership and the continued operation of the plant. Locally grown canola can be sourced through local co-ops for Pacific Coast Canola.

The company is purchasing canola for operation seven days per week. The plant processes the equivalent of production from 1100 acres of canola daily from around the Pacific Northwest.
