'Dog's don't forget'

Next to Thompson is Anna, who was owned by Thompson's son, the late Sam Thompson. He died in a texting-while-driving accident Sept. 12, 2014. Jim told the crowd about how, for many months after the accident, Anna kept looking at the door, waiting for Sam to come back. Sam Thompson adopted the the dog from the pound in Lewiston and had her for less than a year when he died. “Dogs don't forget. Anna's still waiting for Sam to come home,” said Jim. “She doesn't know why he's not coming home.”
