The effort to replace the track at Colfax High School has taken a turn in favor of first putting together a master plan for the entire athletic complex.
“We're taking it slower,” said District Superintendent Jerry Pugh. “We're investigating everything because this is a big athletic complex remodel which will be used for many years down the road.”
In discussion at a meeting Sept. 28, the school board voted to submit a counter-offer to Architects West of Pullman for $35,000 to create a master athletic complex plan, including a topographic survey and geotechnical survey.
