Pirates keep pace, host Oakesdale today

Pomeroy moved closer to the SE volleyball title this week when they stacked two more wins in the league rounds. The Pirates face a big test tonight when they host Oakesdale, number-two team in the league race.

Pomeroy Tuesday swept LaCrosse/ Washtucna/Kahlotus 25-19 25-16 and 25-18 to move their SE string to 12-0. Ireland Mayfield and Toni Cloud each booked a 17-17 night serving. Kacey Halbert had 11 digs.

Pomeroy Thursday swept the SJE Eagles 25-5 25-10 and 25-19 in the league round on their home court with Ally Bott rapping 10 kills and Mayfield putting up 14 assists.
