Meetings to be held on John Wayne Trail fate

Another opportunity for public input on the John Wayne Trail situation is coming, in the form of a series of meetings before Thanksgiving.

State representative Joe Schmick and Tekoa Trails Association President Ted Blaszak will hold three events, in Rosalia Nov. 10, Lind Nov. 16 and Ellensburg Nov. 23.

“I want an additional chance for the public locally to have their say,” said Schmick.

The Washington State Parks Department plans to announce meetings on the subject as well, according to spokesperson Toni Droscher, although none have been scheduled as of yet.
