Tekoa/Rosalia girls won two of their last three matches to finish in a tie for eighth in the NE net campaign. The Timberwolves face a playoff with Springdale, the team they downed Tuesday, to see who advances to the playoff grid Saturday at St. George's.
Tuesday, Tekoa/Rosalia and the Chargers battled over five games at Tekoa with TR taking the decider 15-12. Ella Gregory had eight kills, and Kylee Jenneskens had 14 assists. Sara Frost hit three aces and had 16 digs. Line score for the win was 25-18 25-18 14-25 14-25 and 15-12.
In the Thursday round at St. George's, the T-wolves also won in five, with wins in the last three games. Line score was 18-25 22-25 25-16 25-23 and 15-11. Hannah Beach had nine kills, and Jenneskens had 12 assists. Beach also had six blocks, and Frost totaled eight digs.
The number-eight qualifier in the NE will go up against undefeated Colfax in the opening round of the league tourney Saturday at St. George’s.
