The St. John town council adopted a revised dog ordinance Oct. 26.
The ordinance defines large dogs, potentially dangerous dogs, dangerous dogs, provocation of dogs and the proper enclosure of a potentially dangerous dog. The ordinance was revised in order to scale it back, said Mayor K. B. Trunkey.
“It was a little complicated, the ordinance, so we just scaled it back,” Trunkey said. “We just changed it because we do not have a policeman.”
