That the voters of Whitman County have been intelligently studying the issues between the two great parties was proved by the election on Tuesday. For the first time in its history, it gave a democratic candidate for congress, not a resident of the county, a majority.
The revolution of sentiment which worked this result, together with the popularity and fitness of the candidates, swept into office most of the democratic county ticket. Our next clerk, sheriff, prosecuting attorney, treasurer and the county commissioners will be democrats. W. B. Pendle is,...
