Michiko is topic at UI Nov.12

Bruce Allen, professor at Seisen University in Tokyo and visiting scholar at the University of Idaho, will discuss the work of environmentalist writer Ishimure Michiko, widely known as the Rachel Carson of Japan, next Thursday, Nov. 12, beginning at 7 p.m. at Menard Law School, Room 104. He will talk on water/dam issues in Japan, the Fukushima Nuclear incident and hope for the future of life on the planet....
