Gar-Pal vies for tie-spot

The scenario is still in place.

Garfield-Palouse's playoffs chances remain after the Vikings beat Sunnyside Christian 54-20 and Colton held off Pomeroy.

If either game had gone the other way last Friday, Oct. 30, Gar-Pal's chances would have been gone.

Now, the task to stay alive is at Colton Thursday at 2 p.m.

If the Vikings win, they will force a three-way tie for third place in the Southeast 1B league – which would be decided by a tiebreaker next week.

The first order of business, though, is to beat the Wildcats, who own third place after their 40-28 win over Pomeroy.
