The knuckle-boom crane is nearly back in service at the new Whitman County Transfer Station after two bolts broke in September.
After ordering new bolts and coring out the two broken ones last week, Whitman County Public Works will bring in A&R Crane of Lewiston to put the crane back on its pedestal.
The company has slated Monday, Nov. 16, to do the work.
The bolts were supplied by the crane's Oregon manufacturer.
“Once it's in, a day or two later it would open,” said Mark Storey, County Public Works Director.
