Eriksen will report at farmers breakfast

The first Colfax farmers breakfast will be Nov. 18 at 7 a.m. at the Colfax United Methodist Church social room. St. John farmer Tracy Eriksen will present a report on how he harvests with a Shelbourne strip header on his combine and uses direct seeding to save moisture in taller stubble.

The Shelbourne stripper header is manufactured at Shelbourne, England, and used widely by farmers in Colorado and Nebraska to save moisture. A speaker from WSU will talk about how saving moisture with use of the header improves yields for crops.
