Two pine trees were removed from the front yard of the Perkins House in Colfax after tree specialists examined the trees and recommended they be removed from the property.
Perkins House caretaker Frank White said the arborists determined that the trees “were in bad shape and needed to be removed as soon as possible for safety's sake.” The trees were cut in sections Nov. 4.
One tree was removed from the southeast corner of the property and the other from the northeast corner.
