Recently, journalists have been in the news as much as they have been reporting it.

The media is once again being roundly attacked.

This is nothing new, but the fervor increased when Republican candidates for president objected to the tone and nature of the questions asked by moderators during the CNBC Republican presidential debate.

Then, CNN and others investigated some of the personal claims made by presidential candidate Ben Carson.
