Dusty club sends packages to troops

Dusty

Last week Wednesday on Veteran’s Day, the Dusty B.B. Club met at the home of Diane Monson, co-hostess was Fran Maki, to fill care packages to be sent to our troops stationed overseas.

Eight members filled more than 10 boxes with snacks, personal items, games, puzzles, and condiments, donated by McDonald’s on Bishop Ave. in Pullman and Taco Time and Arby’s in Colfax, to enhance the taste of the troops’ M.R.E.’s.

Dr.

Robert Smith, D.D.S., donated dental hygiene products for the boxes.

Our thanks go to these local businesses for their contributions to our soldiers.

Tammy Lewis was in charge of mailing out the boxes.

Next month’s meeting will be on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 9 a.m.

at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall in Colfax to decorate for the annual B.B. Club Christmas party.

Hostesses will be Tammy Lewis and Sandy Passmore.

Roll call will be “Christmas Food Traditions.” The Christmas party will be held in the parish hall on Friday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.
