An election for a board seat
on the
Palouse Conservation District
will be held on February 9, 2016, at the Palouse Conservation District, 1300 NE Henley Court, Pullman, WA. Polls will open at 11:30am and close at 5:30pm.
Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote.
Candidates must registered voters residing in the conservation district, and may be required to own land or operate a farm.
The candidate filing deadline is January 12, 2016 at 4pm.
Elections procedures are available at the district office.
Absentee ballots are available upon request for eligible voters (one ballot per request), but must be requested on or before January 26, 2016 by 4:00pm.

ORDINANCE 505
An Ordinance of the Town of Malden, Washington, setting forth in Ordinance form a decision of the Council on October 14, 2015, to bank and turn down Council's right to raise property taxes one percent (1%) without voter approval. The Whitman County Assessor has requested that Council's decision be filed with his office in the form of an Ordinance.
Section One. Town Council rejects the opportunity to raise property taxes for the year of 2016 by one percent (1%).
This Ordinance shall be in effect on the day after publication in the official Town newspaper.
PASSED by the Town Council and approved by the Mayor.

I.
