Tammy Lewis, secretary for the Dusty B.B. Club, reported that she mailed 12 boxes of goodies that the club packed for the troops at their November meeting on Veteran’s Day. The boxes went to Kuwait.
Larry and Di Brink hosted Thanksgiving dinner for Kevin, Amber, Ashley, Kloey, Ellie and Nick Brink and their friend Hunter Schuster, all from Kennewick; Mike Stine from LaCrosse and Lucky and Joan Myrick from Dusty.
Gary and Diane Monson, Dusty, and her mother Lucille Willson, Colfax, spent Thanksgiving in Spokane with Diane’s uncle and aunt, Earl and Ann Buri.
Kim and Cindy Pitts spent Thanksgiving in Yakima with their daughter Carrie Pitts. They stayed from Wednesday to Saturday.
Steve and Becky Camp spent several days over Thanksgiving in Grangeville with Becky’s sister and husband, Mary and Tim Bales. Other family members joined them for Thanksgiving dinner.
Tom and Doreen Riedner hosted Thanksgiving dinner in their home for Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel, Graham BeDell, Karen Broeckel and Caroline Garza, Dusty; Denise Kendall, Tacoma; Jeanette Nolan, Colfax; Patty Wieber, Bobby and Jamie Halbig, Spokane and Matthew Forrest, Brisbane, Australia. Later in the day, Jeanette Nolan, Patty Wieber, Bobby and Jamie Halbig and Karen Broeckel stopped in at the Greg and Gwen Nolan home where they had celebrated Thanksgiving with Jason Nolan, Andrew and Emily Nolan and Lauren, Grady and Holden; Pam and Ken Beasley, and Zach and Austin, who had traveled from Highland Village, Texas, for the holiday.
Linda Hennigar and Jim Moore were guests of Kenny and Mae Banks in Kennewick. About 20 people enjoyed the hospitality of Linda’s son-in-law’s nephew.
Saturday, Linda Hennigar and Jim Moore attended a benefit in Potlatch for Marilyn Hennigar. Hennigar, a former Whitman County resident and Hay native, is dealing with several serious health issues which will involve surgery in Seattle beginning this week. The benefit had both live and silent auction, a live band, entertainment and food was provided. The auction took place at the elementary school and the rest of the benefit was in The Cabin, formerly known as Carter’s Log Inn.
