Serving Whitman County since 1877
LaCrosse’s annual holiday breakfast will be at the Gathering Place Saturday morning.
The breakfast, which will be served by the LaCrosse High School senior class, is scheduled for 7:30-10 a.m. Cost for the breakfast is $7.
“That is their fundraiser,” said Lois Startin, who organized the event.
Santa will arrive at 10 a.m., Startin said, and will be on hand from 10 to noon to take pictures. Pictures will be free of cost and be provided by the LaCrosse Business Association.
Startin said the library branch in LaCrosse will offer the opportunity for kids to make Christmas ornaments throughout the morning, which can be done during Santa’s visit.
“It is all in the same location,” she said.
Following Santa’s visit, Community Outreach will hold an open house from 1-3 p.m. Free coffee, cocoa, cookies and company will be offered, and those in attendance can enter a drawing for a 32-inch HD television.
Later in the evening, the fun will continue at the Past Time Tavern.
Starting a 5 p.m., a pool tournament and ugly sweater contest will be held.
Prize money will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners of the pool tournament, and $25 will be awarded to both the ugliest and the best sweaters. Patrons can vote for a sweater at the cost of $1.
