Palouse receives TIB grant for W. Whitman Street

The City of Palouse has been approved for Transportation Improvement Board funding for their West Whitman Street project. Announced Nov. 20, the grant award for $370,500 went to Palouse which was on the list of approved statewide proposals.

The approval follows the denial of the application last year.

The money will fund reconstruction and improvement of West Whitman Street, which will include replacing a 550-foot section of street and railroad tracks, with a new drainage system as well as sidewalks, curb, gutter and lighting.
