LINDA LOU ANDERSON
Linda Lou Anderson, 73, of Clackamas, Ore., died at home Monday Nov. 23, 2015, from ALS. Born Oct. 28, 1942, in Colfax, Wash., to Herb and Marion (Tude) Hemingway, Linda grew up on the family farm with her brother Mark in the Garfield area and attended Washington State College.
She and Jerry Anderson, also of Garfield, were married July 7, 1962.
They moved to Portland, Ore., in 1965.
During her life as a homemaker and bookkeeper, she enjoyed reading, attending sporting events, playing pinochle and spending time with her family.
In their retirement, they combined their interests in geocaching and casino seeking while traveling the country.
Surviving are her spouse, Jerry, two sons, Keith (Randa), Libertyville, Ill., and Kevin (Julie), Puyallup; a brother, Mark Hemingway, Spokane, and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was Nov. 27, 2015, at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes, Happy Valley, Ore.
Memorial donations are suggested to go the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of ALS Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
KENNETH F. JACOBS
A memorial service for Kenneth F. Jacobs, 71, former long-time mayor of Rosalia, was last Thursday at the Rosalia United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jacobs died Dec. 2, 2015, in Spokane.
He served as mayor of Rosalia for a total of 18 years with his final term ending in 2009.
He was one of the founders of Rosalia's Battle Days and also served on on the Rosalia volunteer fire department for 26 years.
Born Feb. 2, 1944, in Spokane to Marvin J. and Greta Kamm Jacobs, he attended school in Spokane and was a graduate of Lewis & Clark High School with class of 1962.
He lived in Rosalia where he farmed and raised his family.
He loved watching NASCAR, golfing, snowmobiling and attending his grandchildren's school events.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Charlene Jacobs, at their home; sons Marc (Pam) Jacobs and Matt (Monica) Jacobs, both Rosalia, and three grandchildren.

NEIL MYOTT
A public celebration of the life of Neil Myott, 88, Palouse, will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at Calvary Chapel in Palouse.
He died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015.
Born June 25, 1927, in Spokane to Arthur Lionel and Anna Mae (Akers) Myott, he attended first and second grades in Ford, Idaho.
In 1935, the Myott family moved to Fernwood, Idaho, where he attended third through eighth grade.
His freshman and sophomore years were at St. Maries High School.
The family moved to Lewiston, where he finished high school in 1945.
He began driving school bus as a 16 year old.
He and his dad did truck gardening work for people throughout the Lewiston Orchards.
He and Patty Lou Cook from Springview, Neb., who had recently accompanied her grandmother west on the train, were married Jan. 1, 1948, in Lewiston.
They celebrated their 68th anniversary on New Year's Day.
The family lived on Big Bear Ridge near Deary.
In September of 1951, they moved to Palouse where he worked for various farmers.
They attended the Palouse Christian Church where Neil served as a church elder and as a Palouse School board director.
They purchased a house and three acres on South River Road in Palouse and raised milk cows, beef cattle, chickens and hogs.
In 1972, Neil began working for the city of Palouse as the city superintendent.
He retired in 1989.
He enjoyed traveling in retirement.
Last August, they moved to the Glenhaven Adult Family Home in Pullman.
Surviving are his wife, Patty; three daughters, Carol Fielder (Jim), Kelly Myott Baker (Paul), and Julie Shelton; two sons, Larry Myott (Maria), Don Myott (Teresa); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Leona Mattoon of Clarkston.
Memorials may be made to the Palouse Federated Church, PO Box 535, Palouse, WA, 99161, for the church camp scholarship fund; or to the Palouse Community Center, Box 23, Palouse.
CHRISTINE HEILSBERG
Christine Heilsberg, 83, Colfax, died at The Courtyard Assisted Living in Colfax Dec. 15, 2015. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Bruning Funeral Home in the Colfax Daily Bulletin and on their website: http://www.bruningfuneralhome.com
