Serving Whitman County since 1877
For a second year in a row, Rosalia hosted the annual speech, spelling and math contest sponsored by the SE Whitman County Principals’ Association Dec. 8. Schools attending were Asotin, Colfax, Colton, Endicott, St. John, LaCrosse, Washtucna, Oakesdale, Rosalia and Tekoa. The contest, which has been conducted during the spring, was moved to the fall to avoid conflicting school activities and testing schedules. There were five different contests – three speeches and two others in which students from grades 5-8 competed. The contests included persuasive speech, interpretive speech, impromptu speech, spelling – written and oral – and math.
