Blake Bodey wrestles with Clarkston's Leighton Nedrow in the consolation round of the 152 class at Liberty.
Garfield-Palouse wrestlers took wins Saturday when the Colfax contingent rolled to the big Lancers' tournament at Liberty. Joey Roger won the 120-pound class with a 2-0 record, and Travis Knauff took the 145-pound class with a run of three wins.
Reggie Jones, who wrestled Knauff for the title in the 145 class, finished second with a 2-1 mark.
Dane Hall, who went through the consolation bracket, finished with a 3-2 record in the 145 class.
Chris Jones was the other medal winner for the team with a third-place finish in the 132-pound class and a 3-1 record out of consolation.
Coach Dennis Gransbury said Bulldog wrestlers in the heavier weight ran into some stiff competition. The Bulldogs lost Brian DeYoung in the 195-pound class after he became sick. He had one match.
The Bulldogs Wednesday night were scheduled to host a league meet Wednesday.
