Correction: Rosalia council did back JWT trail

In a correction to last week’s Gazette, the town of Rosalia was reported to have not passed a resolution in support of the John Wayne Trail after efforts in the state legislature to close a section of it in Eastern Washington. Rosalia Mayor Nanette Konishi this week explained after the Rosalia council voted on the resolution there was some uncertainty about whether it passed.

The resolution vote was 2-1 in favor. One member opposed in order to first seek more information. The confusion derived from whether the vote was valid because some council members were absent at the meeting.
